Animal Protection in the Constitution of Cape Verde

PART I. FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES ARTICLE 6. THE TERRITORY 2

2. In its contiguous area, its exclusive economic area, and the continental shelf, defined by law, the State of Cape Verde shall have rights of sovereignty over conservation, exploration, and use of national resources, living and non-living, and shall exercise jurisdiction under the provisions of internal law and the norms of International Law.

PART I: FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES, TITLE I. THE REPUBLIC Article 7: Duties of the State, (j) Per Article 7, a fundamental duty of the State is “[t]o protect the land, nature, natural resources, and environment.”
PART V: ORGANIZATION OF POLITICAL POWER, CHAPTER VI: AUTHORITY OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, SECTION II: LEGISLATIVE AND POLITICAL AUTHORITY, Article 187(e) Per Article 187, the National Assembly has the exclusive authority to make laws on “[t]he protection of nature, natural resources, and the national historical and cultural heritage.”

1. The following property shall be in the public domain: d) Living and non-living resources in the interior waters, archipelago waters, the territorial sea, the contiguous zone, the exclusive economic zone, and the continental shelf
